Memorable activities to do with your kids in Chelsea this spring

As the weather brightens up and we come out of our winter hibernation, it’s time to plan some delightful experiences to look forward to as a family. Whether you’re a Chelsea resident or simply looking for fun things to do in Chelsea, take note of these memorable spring activities for kids and tots to enjoy in the coming months…

What: Peggy Porschen’s Little Afternoon Tea

When: Open daily

Why your kids will love it: Spring ideas that you and your little one can enjoy together are extra special. And we say if you’re looking for things to do in Chelsea, you must treat your little darlings to a stylish afternoon tea experience. They’ll love stepping into this brightly coloured, dreamy parlour, filled with cupcake and sweet treat displays. Try their afternoon tea experience for kids, called the Little Afternoon Tea, created for children 12 years and under. Prepare for some mouth-watering treats on the menu, such as strawberry jam finger sandwiches, a red velvet cupcake, a scone with clotted cream and jam and French lemonade. The perfect activity to do with your children and their friends, this is an afternoon tea experience to remember this spring.

The Baby Cot Shop suggests: Fancy some shopping? The Baby Cot Shop’s luxurious boutique store is located less than a ten minute walk from Peggy Porschen on the King’s Road. Stop by and browse our elegant nursery furniture, children’s clothes and keepsake toys. You can find us at 408 King's Rd, London, SW10 0LJ.

What: RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023

When: 23rd – 27th May

Why your kids will love it: Who wouldn’t enjoy roaming around fabulous floral displays in the spring sunshine? Kids love being outdoors, so the RHS Chelsea Flower Show is the best kind of fun when it comes to exploring and learning about nature and the great outdoors. The sights and scents of spring also make the perfect backdrop for some family bonding time – it’s a great day out for the whole family to enjoy, making this one of our top things to do in London in spring.

The Baby Cot Shop suggests: Take a family stroll through the Sensory Garden of Calm. Featuring eye-catching plants, deeply scented chamomile and mint and plants that make a gentle noise in the wind, it’s designed to be a therapeutic space. Take a deep breath and relax amongst nature – or just enjoy the sounds of the great outdoors whilst your little one dozes off.

What: National Army Museum

When: Open daily except Mondays

Why your kids will love it: Need some spring activities for toddlers? Your little soldiers will love exploring the fascinating themed rooms and learning about the history of the British Army here. They’ll be in awe at the uniforms, weapons, tanks and fighter jets on display while you teach them a little bit of history.

The Baby Cot Shop suggests: The regular Tiny Troopers classes are sensory sessions that focus on a different theme each week, from music to creativity. These sessions are perfect for ages 2-4 and last 45 minutes. Why not visit the National Army Museum’s soft play experience afterwards? It’s known as the Play Base – featuring an assault course, a truck and a toy kitchen to prepare food for the soldiers.

What: Dopamine Land London: A Multisensory Experience

When: Open from Tuesdays – Sundays

Why your kids will love it: This is the experience to choose for all-round happiness! Whilst you channel your inner big kid, your little one will love exploring this interactive museum, which offers happiness-inducing sensory experiences, full of optical illusions, colourful displays and immersive activities. Expect pillow fights, ball pit fun, a popcorn room, lots of mirrors and calming chill out spots too. If you’re looking to disconnect from the outside world for a few hours, this is our top pick for things to do in Kensington and Chelsea

The Baby Cot Shop suggests: Don’t miss the Musical Squares, which light up the room and play music when stepped on, the Pool of Joy (a ball pit made for infinite fun) and The Bubble Bar for those thirsty explorers, with fun, bespoke drinks.
