OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
Every product bearing The Baby Cot Shop name is made to endure. This warranty is our written assurance that if a defect in our materials or our workmanship ever comes to light, we will put it right. It is not a document about things going wrong — it is a statement of confidence in how things are made. This warranty is offered by Little Sequoia Ltd, trading as The Baby Cot Shop, registered in England and Wales, and applies to all products purchased directly from The Baby Cot Shop.
REGISTERING YOUR WARRANTY
To activate your warranty, please register your purchase within 30 days using the registration form at www.thebabycotshop.co.uk/pages/product-registration. You will need your order number and the name of the product purchased. Where a single order includes more than one item, please register each product individually, quoting the same order number. Your order number is your unique product identifier and the reference against which all warranty records are held. Please retain your order confirmation for this purpose.
TRANSFERABILITY
This warranty is transferable for the remainder of its original term. If the product is gifted or passed to a new owner, the new owner should re-register the product using the same registration form, quoting the original order number. The warranty will continue from the original date of purchase for the periods set out below. Warranties that have not been registered by the original purchaser are not transferable.
AUTHORISED PURCHASES
This warranty applies to products purchased directly from The Baby Cot Shop, whether through our boutique at 408 King's Road, London SW10 0LJ, through our website at thebabycotshop.co.uk, or through an authorised retail partner. It does not apply to products purchased second-hand, through unauthorised resellers, or where the product has been modified or altered after purchase.
1. SOLID HARDWOOD FURNITURE
Includes: cots, cot beds, changing units, wardrobes, and all nursery case goods constructed from solid hardwood. These pieces are built to last well beyond the nursery years — and our warranty reflects that.

2. GLIDER & ROCKING CHAIR
Includes: upholstered glider chairs and rocking chairs supplied by The Baby Cot Shop. A glider is a significant and lasting investment in the comfort of your nursery, and we warrant it accordingly.

Note: The gliding mechanism is designed for adult use within the weight limit specified in the product documentation. This mechanism is rated to a maximum user weight of 140kg. Use in excess of this limit falls outside the scope of this warranty.
3. MOSES BASKETS
Includes: hand-woven rattan Moses baskets with fabric lining and hood, supplied with or without stand. Each basket is a piece of handcraft, and the warranty reflects both that heritage and its intended use.

Note: Rattan is a natural material and will develop a gentle patina with time — this is part of its character. Surface colour variation and the individual quality of the weave are not defects. Moses baskets should be kept away from prolonged moisture and direct sunlight, and the basket and stand should be inspected before each use.
4. WICKER CRIBS
Includes: hand-woven wicker cribs with fabric dressing, supplied with stand. Our wicker cribs are crafted by specialist artisan makers and comply with BS EN 1130:2019. The extended structural warranty reflects our confidence in their construction.

Note: Wicker is a hand-worked natural material. Variations in weave and natural colour are an expression of its craftsmanship, not a defect. Keep away from prolonged moisture and direct heat. As with all infant sleep products, the crib should be inspected before each use and retired from sleep use once the weight or age guidance set out in the product documentation is reached.
WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS — ALL CATEGORIES
All warranties above cover defects in materials and workmanship — that is, problems that originate in how a product was made or the materials from which it was made, and which arise under normal domestic use. Where a valid claim is accepted, The Baby Cot Shop will, at its discretion, repair the affected component, supply a replacement part, or replace the item.
WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER — ALL CATEGORIES
This warranty covers manufacturing defects, not the effects of use. It does not cover: damage resulting from misuse, accident, modification, or unauthorised repair; the normal effects of use including surface marks, natural wear, or the movement of natural materials in response to changes in humidity or temperature; damage arising from failure to follow our care and assembly guidance; the natural character and individual variation of handmade and natural-material products; or any item that has been used for commercial, institutional, or rental purposes.
MAKING A CLAIM
To make a warranty claim, please contact The Baby Cot Shop at 408 King's Road, London SW10 0LJ, or by email at [email protected], quoting your order number and the product concerned. You will be asked to provide proof of purchase, a description of the defect, and photographs where relevant. Claims should be made within a reasonable time of the defect becoming apparent. We aim to respond to all warranty enquiries within five working days.
COLLECTION & REDELIVERY
Where a claim is accepted, The Baby Cot Shop will arrange and cover the cost of collection and redelivery within the United Kingdom. We will assess each claim on the basis of the information and photographs provided before arranging collection. If on inspection the item is found not to present a manufacturing defect, any costs incurred in connection with collection and return will be the responsibility of the customer. For products purchased for use outside the United Kingdom, warranty obligations will be fulfilled on a return‑to‑base basis. International customers should contact us in the first instance to discuss the most practical resolution.
YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
This warranty is offered in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable legislation. Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
