Our cot bumpers are crafted in bespoke fabrics and finishes to complement your nursery scheme. They are designed to provide a protective lining to the cot, helping to prevent limb entrapment between slats and protecting older babies from head and limb trauma as they become more active sleepers.


AGE GUIDANCE

Bumpers are not recommended for newborns under 6 months. Current safe sleep guidance advises keeping the cot clear during the newborn period to minimise any risk to very young infants.

From approximately 6 months, as babies become more mobile — rolling, kicking, and repositioning during sleep — bumpers serve a genuine protective function. At this age, limb entrapment between cot slats is a documented cause of injury, and our deep-sided cots mean a standing baby cannot clear the rail.


PLEASE NOTE:

• Do not use with babies under 6 months.
• Ensure all ties are fastened securely and inspected regularly.
• Use only bumpers that allow adequate airflow through the cot slats — never thick padded liners that fully block ventilation.
• Check the bumper regularly to ensure it remains firmly in position and has not shifted during the night.
• Discontinue use if the bumper shows any signs of wear, loose ties, or damage.
