For expectant and new parents, there is a kind of reassurance that only comes from sitting in a room with people who truly understand what you are going through, and from being able to speak to clinical professionals. That is the spirit behind our next event.
On Thursday 16th July, 2026, The Baby Cot Shop will be hosting We've Called The Midwife, a private evening in our Chelsea showroom, in partnership with the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital. It is an evening designed for expecting and new parents who want expert guidance, honest conversation, and the simple comfort of being in a room with people who get it.
A Special Evening for New and Expectant Parents
We've Called the Midwife is not a lecture or a formal seminar. It is an intimate gathering, one that is relaxed, welcoming, and deliberately small, where guests will have the opportunity to speak directly with an experienced Lindo Wing midwife, ask questions about pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period, and receive calm, expert guidance. Every guest will also receive a goody bag! Whether you are navigating the final weeks of pregnancy, adjusting to life with a newborn, or simply trying to feel more prepared and less overwhelmed, this evening has been made with you in mind.
Guests will have the chance to:
- Speak directly with a Lindo Wing midwife — with time and space to ask the questions that matter most to you, on everything from birth preferences to the early postnatal days at home;
- Connect with fellow parents — sharing experiences and beginning to build the kind of supportive community that makes such a difference in those early weeks and months;
- Explore nursery inspiration — from calm layouts to the practical details that make those first nights at home with a baby feel a little more manageable;
- Browse our curated collection of handcrafted nursery furniture and refined decor, and learn about our bespoke nursery design service for families who would like a little more support in creating the perfect space for their child.
