On Friday 15th May, The Baby Cot Shop team had the privilege of visiting the Rainbow Clinic, a specialist service supporting families through pregnancy after stillbirth or neonatal loss. Rainbow Clinics provide dedicated care for parents navigating pregnancy after loss, offering both medical and emotional support during what can be an incredibly tender and anxious time.
As part of our visit, we donated one Amelie sofa to help create a softer and more comforting environment for the families who spend time there. It was a simple gesture, but one that felt deeply important.
The feedback from both parents and staff was incredibly moving. It reminded us that thoughtful spaces are about far more than aesthetics alone. A comfortable chair and a softer corner to sit in offer a sense of calm, dignity, and care during some of life’s most emotional moments.

The team at the Rainbow Clinic is doing extraordinary work each day to make families feel supported, understood, and safe. Their approach reflects something we believe deeply ourselves: that environments shape how people feel. For parents returning to hospital after loss, warmth and sensitivity matter enormously. So does comfort. Rainbow Clinics across the UK were created to provide exactly that kind of specialist support for families facing a subsequent pregnancy after stillbirth or neonatal death. We are honoured to have played a small part in helping make the space feel a little more welcoming.
