UK Delivery
Delivery Costs
Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and nature of your order.
Small Items
Smaller items including accessories, fabrics, bed linens, and gifts are delivered via our standard courier service. Delivery costs are shown at checkout.
Large Furniture — White Glove Delivery and Installation
All large furniture pieces are delivered via our white glove service. This is included in the delivery cost and covers:
• Delivery to your home on a pre-arranged date
• Installation in the room of your choice
• Assembly where required
• Removal of all packaging on completion
We ask that you or an authorised adult is present throughout the delivery and installation. Please ensure the agreed space is accessible and prepared before our team arrives.
Please be aware that it is your responsibility to ensure that furniture can be manoeuvred through doors, up stairs, and into the intended room. Dimensions are available on each product page under Specifications. If you have any concerns about access, please contact us before placing your order.
Express Delivery
Express delivery is available on in-stock items at an additional cost. Please contact us at [email protected] or call +44 (0) 203 371 7530 to check availability and arrange express delivery before placing your order.
International Shipping
Shipping Costs
We ship to international destinations worldwide. International shipping costs are not included in the product price and are not calculated at checkout.
For smaller items, shipping costs will be confirmed shortly after your order is placed and invoiced separately prior to dispatch.
For large items including furniture, cots, and changing units, shipping costs cannot be determined at the point of order. Due to the size and weight of these pieces and the variability of international freight costs, shipping is calculated at the point your order is ready for dispatch and invoiced separately at that stage.
By placing an international order, you acknowledge and accept that an additional shipping charge will apply and will be invoiced prior to or at the point of dispatch.
Why Costs Vary
International freight costs are subject to change due to factors outside our control, including global logistics conditions, fuel surcharges, port disruptions, and geopolitical events. We work with trusted freight partners to secure the most competitive rates available at the time of dispatch.
Insurance
All high value items are fully insured during international transit. Insurance is included in your shipping charge.
Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes
All customs duties, local taxes, and import costs arising outside the United Kingdom are the responsibility of the recipient. We recommend checking the applicable import regulations in your country before placing your order. We are not responsible for any delays caused by customs clearance processes.
International Installation
International delivery with full installation is available as part of our Interior Design Service, or by arrangement for clients who require it. All associated installation costs will be confirmed separately. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Current Lead Times
Your furniture and furnishings are made just for you when you order. Please allow for the following production times before delivery:
Fabric & Wallpaper (in stock) — 2 days to 1 week
Bespoke or Special Order Wallpaper — 3 to 4 weeks
Furniture & Chairs (BCS Collection) — 8 to 10 weeks
Bed Linens — 4 to 6 weeks
Cribs & Moses Baskets — 3 to 4 weeks
Savio Firmino Collection — 14 to 16 weeks
Lead times are estimates and may vary. Some items may be available on a shorter lead time. Please contact us to enquire.
Lead times apply from the point at which your order is confirmed and, where applicable, all specifications, fabric selections, and design sign-off have been completed. For international orders, lead times apply from the point of order confirmation regardless of when shipping is invoiced.
Please ensure that your nursery or room will be ready to receive your furniture within the estimated lead time. If you require delivery to be held after production is complete, storage fees may apply. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further details.
Orders Placed via Harrods
The Baby Cot Shop operates a concession within Harrods, Knightsbridge. For purchases made through our Harrods concession, whether in-store or via Harrods-managed platforms, delivery to customers is arranged and managed exclusively by Harrods in accordance with Harrods’ own terms and conditions.
Once goods have been handed over to Harrods, The Baby Cot Shop has no responsibility for or control over onward delivery, delivery timescales, or any loss or damage occurring after that point.
