The Hidden Costs of Buying Nursery Furniture Abroad- and How We Get It Right

The Nursery You Imagined. Delivered With Care.

Designing your baby's first room is not a transaction. It is a decision you sit with — sometimes for months. You return to the same image. You second-guess the fabric. You wonder whether the piece you love online will feel as right in the room you have in your mind.

We know this, because our clients tell us. And it is exactly why we take the work so seriously.

What We Have Spent Years Getting Right

We ship to families in Dubai, Doha, New York, Singapore. Not occasionally — regularly. And every time, the process is the same: we treat your order the way we would treat our own.

That means packing for export ourselves, with people we trust. It means working only with specialist carriers who understand what they are handling. It means you hear from us — not a tracking number, not an automated update — throughout the entire journey, until your furniture is inside your home and you are happy with it.

Most international suppliers hand off responsibility the moment an order leaves their warehouse. We do not work that way. If something goes wrong, we deal with it. That is not a policy. It is just how we operate.

The Price You See Is Rarely the Price You Pay

Overseas orders carry costs that are easy to miss until you are already committed. Freight surcharges. Import duties. Customs clearance fees. Third-party handling. And underneath all of that — the question of who is responsible if something arrives damaged.

We had a client in the Gulf who had ordered a cot from abroad before finding us. By the time she had paid every additional cost, she had spent more than our equivalent piece would have cost — with none of the aftercare, and a damaged panel she was still trying to resolve months later.

The lower price was not lower at all.

Made for Your Child. Finished to Your Specification.

Every piece we make is crafted by British and European artisans. Solid hardwood. Fabrics chosen by you. Finishes that do not compromise. All made to meet British safety standards — not because we are required to, but because anything less is not something we would put our name to.

We are not a furniture shop that also does interiors. We design nurseries. The furniture, the layout, the light, the detail — all of it. That is a different thing entirely, and our clients feel the difference.
