Luxury Nursery Furniture for Interior Designers — The Baby Cot Shop Trade Partnership

If you are an interior designer working with expecting families, you already know that the nursery is one of the most demanding rooms in any project. This is because the brief is personal, the timeline is fixed, and the standard cannot slip. Also, finding a nursery specialist you can genuinely trust with your client, without losing control of the project, is harder than it should be. The Baby Cot Shop has been that specialist for interior designers for nearly two decades.

We are the UK's leading luxury nursery furniture and interior design studio. Our collections are available exclusively at our Chelsea boutique on King's Road, our permanent concession on the fourth floor at Harrods in Knightsbridge, and through our website. We are the official nursery interiors partner of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital, and our clients include some of the world's most discerning families, among them a designer whose Gulf-based client maintains a Mayfair residence, for whom we coordinated a full bespoke nursery commission across an international delivery.

We do not wholesale, neither do we work with every designer who enquires. But for the right partnerships, we offer a trade account that protects your client relationship, supports your creative vision, and recognises your role in the project commercially. Here is what that looks like in practice.

We Work the Way You Work

Some designers prefer to send us a brief and let us curate. Others prefer to maintain full creative control by coming to us directly, selecting their own fabrics, specifying their own finishes, and building the nursery exactly as they have envisioned it. Both approaches work equally well. We adapt to your process, not the other way around.

If you are working from a brief, send it to us and we will curate furniture, fabrics, and wallpapers that serve your vision. If you prefer to select directly, our curated fabric range is available in our Chelsea boutique and at Harrods. Every piece of furniture can be finished in any colour or finish; supply us with a RAL code or paint reference and we will colour match precisely. If you have a finish in mind that sits outside our standard range, we will find a way to achieve it.

A Complete Nursery From One Source

We supply everything the nursery requires, with only one exception. Amongst other things, we supply furniture made to order in our European workrooms or crafted by our Italian artisans; bespoke wallpaper and wall murals designed by our in-house artist when nothing available commercially is right for the space; fabric selection from our curated range or fully bespoke if your brief demands it; bespoke rugs; lighting; organic mattresses; bed linen made from OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics.

The only exception is paint. We do not supply paint directly, but we make recommendations and referrals to suppliers whose products are child-safe and environmentally sound.

A designer working with The Baby Cot Shop does not need to source the nursery from multiple suppliers. We are the single point of contact for the entire room.

Your Client Remains Yours

There are several ways we can work together, depending on what your project requires. You can bring your client to our Chelsea boutique or our Harrods concession to see pieces in person. For VIP clients who require complete privacy, we open the boutique exclusively for a private appointment. If you prefer to refer your client to us directly, we manage the entire experience on your behalf, keeping you informed at every stage. You do not need to be present for every conversation. The relationship and your commission remain yours throughout.

Everything is Made to Order

Nothing we offer is pulled from a warehouse. Every piece is commissioned specifically for that client, made individually and finished to their exact specification. Whether it is colour, finish, or personalisation (such as a darker shade, an engraving, or a hand-painted detail), all of it is possible. Our service is not a catalogue. It is a bespoke service built around your client's brief.

White Glove Delivery and Installation

Our specialist logistics team delivers directly to your client's home, installs each piece in the room, and removes all packaging. For international projects, including deliveries to the Gulf region, we coordinate with trusted receiving partners to ensure everything arrives together and on schedule.

The Nursery Edit® — A Proprietary Design Tool

The Nursery Edit® is our bespoke design discovery tool, developed from two decades of client consultations at our Chelsea boutique. It takes a client from a vague sense of what they want to a clear, personalised nursery direction. You can use it as part of your own discovery process or share it directly with your client. It is available to BCS trade account holders.

Commercial Terms

Trade account holders receive a competitive commission structure. We produce client-facing invoices and manage your commercial arrangement separately and discreetly. Commission details are shared as part of the trade account application.

Applying for a Trade Account

Trade accounts are available to established interior designers and design practices. We review each application individually to ensure the partnership is the right fit for both sides. To apply or to discuss a project, contact our design team at [email protected].
