Easter Lockdown Essentials for You and Your Family

Even though Easter won’t be the same in lockdown, you’ll still want to make it full of fun and activities (and of course some rest time). Whether you’re wanting to spend some quality time with your newborn or need to distract the kids pronto, here are the isolation essentials from The Baby Cot Shop to put on your list…

Diana Luxury Toy Pram

Want a playtime saviour that’s not a toy? Welcome the Diana Luxury Toy Pram into your home this Easter, the perfect pick for your little one to boost her imagination and enjoy walking her toys or dolls in. She’ll feel a sense of nurturing and confidence as she plays with this toy pram; meanwhile, it might also give you time to do that lockdown to-do list you’ve been meaning to start.

Blue Rabbit Rattle

Newborns need this for Easter 2020: fact. With distraction and activities being key to keeping your family entertained during the lockdown period, this soft plush rattle toy is just the thing to encourage happiness and laughter. Babies love sounds and using their senses, plus rattle toys can even help hand to eye coordination – it’s a win-win!

ABC Of To Sea Book

ABC Of To Sea Book

Take advantage of the time spent together in isolation and read to your little one daily. We’re big fans of the ABC Off To The Sea book, which takes them through each letter of the alphabet with a new word related to all things nautical (like A for Anchor or D for Dolphins). Spark their imagination with the colourful pages and enjoy snuggling up with your child for some learning time.

Elegant, compact and stylish, this changing bag is equipped with a folded mat for baby changing and an adjustable shoulder strap. This is the ultimate accessory to stay organised when you’re out and about. With the Stanley Changing Bag, you’ll have everything you need in one place.

Top Family Isolation Tips For Easter 2020

1)At a time like Easter where you’d usually be with your family, it’s vital to stay in touch (especially with older relatives like grandparents). Use video apps such as FaceTime, Zoom and HouseParty and get your kids involved too. They’ll love being connected to their loved ones.

2) Take advantage of going on one walk a day. Is there somewhere quiet you can go that will allow your kids to properly stretch their legs and inhale some fresh air?

3) Create a list of at-home activities: We’re talking baking, painting, creating and of course having a regular movie night.

4)Keep at-home hygiene at a high level. Ensure your kids are washing their hands for 20 seconds after playing or going outside; (you could even sing their favourite song as they do so). Do we feel a Frozen medley coming?
